The box office bust 'Black Adam' arrives on HBO Max

“The Rock" Johnson's DC antihero movie "Black Adam" is now streaming on HBO Max.

“Black Adam” debuted in theaters on October 21. The film features Teth-Adam (Johnson), a superhuman from ancient Kahndaq who used his godly powers for vengeance.

As a result of nearly 5,000 years, archeologists free Adam from the Intergang crime syndicate to save Kahndaq.

Doctor Fate (played by Pierce Brosnan), Hawkman (Aldis Hodge), Atom Smasher (Noah Centineo) and Cyclone (Quintessa Swindell) provoke him, however.

Many critics and fans were disappointed by the "Shazam!" spin-off, with NPR's Glen Weldon calling Johnson's performance "underseasoned" and "ponderous."

According to Johnson, "Black Adam" would lose between $50 million and $100 million.
